Heyy!

The week started for real now! My schedule didn't changed, it will not change until Leah can start her company I guess. So for now my schedule will be easy and nice! Every Monday in 2 weeks the hole house will be cleaned by the cleaning ladies, included my bedroom!

Tuesday evening I have met a Dutch girl that also lives in Maryland!! Her name is Valerie and in the Netherlands she also lives very close to me, so it is all really coincidental. I went to Gaithersburg, because that is where she lives and we went to Chipolet and had dinner there. It was a nice place with good Mexican food. We sat outside for the hole evening, at one point it was really cold! So that was the moment we went back home. It was nice to meet with het, because now you can talk your home language in stead of English the hole time. You don't have to think about how or what to say in English. We really had fun and talked about everything haha. She is here already for 7 months but with a different organization. We had so much fun that we came up with a plan to go to Washington DC together on Saturday!

We made a plan, so we did it! We went to DC!! Washington DC is a beautiful city, with a lot of big buildings, monuments and a really good vibe. From minute one I already liked the city! I see myself in Washington DC more often, also because it's only a 40 minutes drive. DC also has many museums, but they were closed now because of Covid I hope they will reopen soon. We went to the Washington monument, we walked a lot and went to a couple big stores. In the evening we went to 'The Wharf' that's a street on the water with many restaurants and a fish market. At night it's very pretty, because we were there with sunrise and the darker it got how more light appeared. We had dinner at Shake Shack, typical American fastfood. It was really nice and we sat outside by the water.

During the week we lived the regular family life. In the evenings we watched a lot of TV or movies. I ordered a MacBook and this week it was delivered! Jeeejjj! I tested it and right away I started my blog. At Wednesday Leah got home with some bad news, this year they wouldn't be selling peeps anymore for Halloween. And she didn't like the news, so I looked on the internet if I could find somewhere a place where they sell Peeps. But when I was looking, I found something els! A recipe for making Peeps yourself, so I told Ainsley what I found and said to her that we can make it tomorrow as a surprise for your mother. The next day we tried to make it, it kinda worked haha. They did looked any like the real Peeps but it was a lot of fun to make. Leah thought it was really sweet of us that we tried it and was happy with it. :)

This week we went outside a lot! And especially to the playgrounds. The Yellow slide is there favorite, this week we have met an other family with 4 kids. The mother started talking to me and that's when the kids also started to play with each other and it was really cute! Her oldest kids was a 9 year old girl, then she had a 6 year old, a 3 year old and a one year old all boys. It was really nice to meet her and the kids really wanted to play with each other everyday. We shared our numbers so that we can text when we are going to the yellow slide.

Friday night was a date night for Leah and Ryan, so I had the kids for the first time alone in the evening. Ryan ordered pizza for us before they left. We had a typical Friday night, with pizza, a movie and cinnamon rolls as dessert! It all went pretty well, except for that Emmett didn't wanted to listen to me when I asked him if he wanted to put his tablet away just for a second. I had trouble with that at first, but then I talked to him and explained that I didn't wanted to take his tablet away or that he as to go of his tablet for the hole time, but just to get something to eat or to talk to me. So when I said that to him he understood and was very nice to me after. He kept saying, ' Naomi, I love you' haha. It was really cute to see that that's his way of saying sorry and after that he hopes that everything is good again.

My weekend was awesome! At first I had no plans for the hole weekend, because the girls I asked to do something were to busy so had no time. In the end I had a busy weekend and a very nice one! Saturday morning I went to the mall with Leah and Ainsley, a girls trip, because we went there to get Ainsleys ears pierced! She was so excited and a little bit nervous. She was really brave and didn't even cried! From what I can remember I cried really hard at her age, hahah. We ordered some Starbucks and cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory! The evening before we went to the mall we were talking about The Cheesecake Factory and how good the cheesecake is from there. So we had no other choice then bring some back with us. In the afternoon I went to Washington DC with Valerie as I have written before. On Sunday I went to Brighton Dam Azalea Garden, a park with 2 girls, Sharon and Juanita, from my LCC group. We walked around in the park, sat at a picknick tabel and talked a lot. Sharon and Juanita life close to me and made more plans to do together, but you are going to read that yourself next week. :)

Love,

Naomi
