Twentieth week

It was my birthday on Wednesday!! Also a real accident is that in my twentieth week, I’m turning 20 years old! haha.

Hi everybody! Welcome by a new blog :)

My birthday was a important day, not only for me haha but for whole America. It is Inauguration Day! Trump has to leave the White House and Biden will be the new president!

Normally is Inauguration Day a really big day and a day that everybody goes to DC and its almost like an event. This year it wasn't like that, because of covid, but also because of the chaos and protests. Whole DC was blocked and there were many soldiers walking in DC. Everybody looked the inauguration on tv.

The kids just had a normal school day, but after school we watched the inauguration and I tried to explain Ainsley as much as I knew about it. After the president was initiated, we turned off the tv, because the kids didn't thought it was interesting anymore haha.

I didn't noticed a lot about the inauguration, I live to far for that haha. But the news was talking about it for the whole day. Also I didn't noticed that much about the new rules that Biden already changed.

Birthday

My birthday was really fun! The kids where great and we did a lot of fun things! They had a half day so we also had time to do fun things. Ainsley song for me, we did a lot of fun games and after lunch and the inauguration we went to Dunkin Donut to get a birthday donut. :) It was a real coincidental that when we were at Dunkin Donut Sharon drove by our house to drop of a Starbucks drink and a little treat. It was so cute of her! <3 That day I eat so much sugar that in the end mine and Ainsley's stomach hurt. But it's okay, because it's my birthday hahaha.

When Leah and Ryan came back from work we had diner all together and I could choose where I wanted to eat. After diner I got some presents from them and we eat cake! Every birthday Leah makes a cake for the birthday person, and that person may also choose what kind of cake she wants. And she also made a cake for me!!! I was so happy and it was so good!!

After the cake and the presents with my family, my friends come over. :) I was so happy that they came over and they brought cupcakes and presents and they song for me when I came outside hahah. We sat outside where we always sit on the porch.

My birthday was great!! I was so happy and glad that I have all those amazing friends and host family with who I could celebrate it!

Weekend

The weekend was really fun and busy! I spend the weekend with Sharon again! hahaha. Saturday we went to Frederick together. Frederick is a really cute city with many restaurants, shops and a canal with model art boats in it. We walked around and enjoyed the city, but it was really really cold haha. Last week it started to be really cold, so from now on until March its gonna be really cold.

Sunday we meet up with a group of friends in Alexandria. It was really fun too! I the beginning of this week I sent a text in different whatsapp groups with the question if people were interested in meeting up with other au pairs, also new au pairs, in Alexandria. In the end we were with 8 and it was really fun to meet new au pairs, but also saw friends of mine I haven't seen in a while.

We walked around through Alexandria, talked, grabbed something to eat and in the end we drove to Columbia to have diner there and also ended up in an arcade where we hang out for a little and played a few games.

Kids

This week I did a lot of fun things with the kids, I thought maybe its fun if I will show you a little bit more about what I do with them haha. Lately its harder to do that much things, because its cold outside so we can't go for hikes that much and because inside things are still closed, we can't go there.

But we keep ourselves busy! Like this week we played in the bathtub, make tiktoks, singing, dancing, look through old pictures from Leah and Ryan haha. And we also tried to skateboard! A few weeks ago I bought a skateboard at Target for $9. haha of course the skate board isn't good then, but I is still fun to try. Ainsley tried to really skate and I tried to do some tricks with it. It was really fun! On Friday we had a playdate with Sharon and her host kid Avery. :)

This was my really fun week! I'm sorry for the really late blog, but there he is now!
